The Pie Whisperer
Elvis makes the finest pies in Winsford. The trouble started when they began whispering back.

The opening of Chapter One
The Pie Whisperer, read aloud, with the words on screen for anyone who likes to follow along, or is watching in a library. About 2 minutes, which is roughly one kettle.
About the book
Elvis is a quiet man who makes loud pies. His wife Gladys runs everything else, including Elvis. His dad tells the story, because somebody has to, and he was the only one paying attention.
Then the pies start talking. Not loudly. Pies are not show-offs. But once you have heard a steak and kidney express an opinion, it is very hard to go back to simply eating them.
A warm, daft, northern comedy about family, pastry and gravy. The characters are made up. The pies are real.
Where it is set. Winsford, Cheshire. The places are real, so you can go and stand in them. The people are made up, so please don't go looking for them.
